Session Description

The best strategic planning efforts work only if the company’s leaders and HR professionals are committed to – and set an example of – the organization’s mission and vision and values. That’s exactly what participants will learn how to do in this session, in a very meaningful way, with solutions specific to their individual styles and leadership priorities. Discover how to ensure that you and your organization’s leaders have the insight necessary to successfully build, navigate and reinforce the company’s mission, vision and values are critical to strategic success, and tie directly to organizational outcomes.

Learning Objectives

  1. List and describe the three key elements of strategic leadership (vision, alilgnment and execution) and identify best practices specific to each area
  2. Develop a personalized plan to improve strategic leadership based on individual leadership styles
  3. Develop the ability to coach organizational leaders to identify their own natural leadership tendencies and move toward best practices with respect to each of the three elements of strategic leadership

Mary Gormandy White, M.A., SHRM-SCP, SPHR, is Director of Corporate Training & Talent Development for MTI Business Solutions a leading Gulf Coast-based corporate training/talent development firm. She provides training, assessment and consulting services to clients throughout the U.S. Her areas of specialty include HR, management, leadership, workplace communication, teambuilding, and more.

Mary holds graduate and undergraduate degrees in Communication and her certifications include Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and Everything DiSC Certified Trainer/Accredited Workplace Facilitator. Mary’s professional background includes extensive experience in management, HR, instructional design and communication (including writing, editing and public relations). She is a frequent keynote speaker at conferences and association meetings nationwide.
